Ed Sparks (EOW 12/1/2019)
  • Served as the Director of Operations of Livonia Ambulance for over 10 years, he was not only the Director of Operations, he was a great man who dedicated his life to the squad, and the community that it serves. He started in EMS in 1994 where he joined to drive the ambulance but soon after decided that there was more that he could do to help those in need. He became an EMT and over several years worked his way up through the EMS levels of care achieving his Paramedic in August of 2012. Throughout Ed’s career in EMS he has helped countless individuals and personally had saved many lives.
James Greely (“Pops”) (EOW 05/21/2015)
  • Past Chief Hemlock Fire Department, EMT with Livonia Ambulance, retiree of Case-Hoyt, Rochester, and served in the US Army National Guard for 40 years retiring an E9 Sergeant Major.
Mark Whitford (EOW 08/28/2014)
  • Mark was a long-standing member of the Lakeville Fire Department and Livonia Ambulance. Mark was a founding member of the First Board of Commissioners for the Livonia Ambulance District #1 and continued to serve in this role until his untimely death in 2014. Mark was dedicated to teaching the agency and the community CPR, allowing his skills to benefit others for years to come. Mark will be remembered as both a friend and colleague by many members of the Livonia Ambulance.
Gordon Phillips (EOW 02/16/2014)
  • He was well known and respected in the Greater Rochester ambulance community for his skills, his humor, and his loving patient care.
Ted Arnold (EOW 07/29/2011)
  • Ted was an active member of the Livonia Fire Department, alife member and served for 47 years. He was a founding member of the Livonia AmbulanceSquad and served on the Livonia Village Board as a Trustee.
Tom Stigile (06/25/2011)
  • Member/driver Livonia Ambulance District #1, 50-year member of the fire service(Livonia Fire Department, Five Points Fire Department) died quietly at his home surrounded by his Brothers and Sisters.
Drew Eve (08/13/2007)
  • EMT Livonia Ambulance District #1, Deputy Chief Livonia Fire Department, Emergency Dispatcher Livingston County, lost his life-long battle with cystic fibrosis.
Paul DeMartini (EOW 1994)
  • Paul served as the Livonia EMS captain for nearly two decades. He was involved in training many EMS providers in Livingston County through his work as an EMT and CPR instructor. At the end of his career, Paul spent 60 years as a volunteer firefighter, 27 years as an EMT and EMT instructor, and 20 years as the captain for Livonia EMS.
